Biography

Alisa Garcia Williams is an educator and the founder of Alisa’s Academics, LLC, where she provides students with the support they need to thrive academically and grow in confidence. Her journey in education is rooted in her experience as a public school teacher and as a mother of three, giving her a broad perspective on the needs of elementary students, with a special emphasis on language arts.

Her professional experience includes teaching at Bill L. Williams Elementary School, where she taught kindergarten, 4th grade, and a 4th/5th grade combination class. She also organized school spelling bees, tutored students after school, and mentored future educators as a master teacher for student teachers.

At Actis Jr. High, Alisa taught 7th grade language arts, addressing the needs of students at various academic levels.  She also coordinated the Henry Greve Speech Contest and led the track team as head coach for two years.

During her time as a stay-at-home mother, Alisa remained actively involved in education by volunteering in her children’s classrooms, serving as room parent, and coaching tee-ball.

Alisa holds a Master’s in Education, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and a Bachelor of Arts in English with a Minor in Human Development form the University of California , Davis.
